Board Certified in Family Practice

Dr. Kaplan is a board certified physician in Family Practice. Dr. Kaplan received his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in 1975, and he has been in practice for over 40 years. Dr. Kaplan received his California Osteopathic Medicine License in 1975 and his Nevada Osteopathic Medicine License in 2003.

Dr. Kaplan has over 20 years of clinical research experience with ACRI in Las Vegas, Nevada on over 40 Phase II and Phase III clinical trials as both a Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator. Dr. Kaplan’s primary therapeutic areas include internal medicine, rheumatology, and metabolism and endocrinology, and his expertise includes diabetes, osteoarthritis, hypertension, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and other conditions.

Dr. Akhavan is a board certified physician in Family Practice. Dr. Akhavan received his medical degree from the Autonomous School of Medical Practices in San José, Costa Rica in 1999. Dr. Akhavan received his Nevada Medical License in 2005, and he completed a residency in General Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in 2001. Dr. Akhavan completed a second residency in Family Practice at Shenandoah Valley Family Practice in 2005. Dr. Stoermer has been in practice for over 20 years.

Dr. Stoermer began his role as a Sub-Investigator with ACRI in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2025, working on Phase II and Phase III clinical trials. Dr. Stoermer’s primary therapeutic areas include internal medicine and rheumatology.
